Reporting to the Content Director – the Content and Research Manager will primarily work on Times Higher Education’s World Summit Series and global forums. You will be responsible for end-to-end content delivery by researching and developing high quality content topics and producing innovative programmes. You will work in consultation with internal and external stakeholders to source and recruit high profile speakers and have the opportunity to see your hard work come to life at events around the world. 

Key tasks & responsibilities 

  • Take ownership for the high-quality research, design and delivery of 5 – 6 events annually, ensuring that key deadlines and KPI’s are met.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Identify, acquire, liaise and manage world class speakers
  • Work closely with the business development team to provide thought leadership opportunities whilst not diluting the quality and integrity of the content provision 
  • Clarify the event proposition and contribute to the production of effective marketing collateral
  • On-site co-ordination of speakers and other key stakeholders, stage management and liaison with AV team to ensure a seamless event production

The candidate

  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working within high quality content creation, ideally in the higher education sector, but not a must. (This could be working directly for a university, not-profit, government agency, media or membership organisation).
  • Excellent project management skills, working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong research skills and ability to digest information to share with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident and proactive with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with senior leaders from government, academia and industry.
  • Event management/production experience desirable but not essential.
  • Quick to grasp concepts and understand the value proposition for different event stakeholders.
  • A creative approach and be able to spot opportunities that add value and enhance the experience of our stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute and entrepreneurial outlook
  • Experience of work with media and communications highly desirable
  • Must be prepared to travel internationally
