Head of Doctoral Student Development

Department : Centre For Doctoral Studies

Do you enjoy helping people fulfil their potential? Could you enable King's College London to strengthen its provision of support? King's is recruiting to a vital role, providing strategic and operational oversight of training and development opportunities for doctoral students.

The individual selected will join King's at a significant moment. We are in the process of finalising a new PGR strategy for the university, to fit with the aspirations in our Strategic Vision 2029 to make the world a better place. We need to further innovate and expand our support for doctoral students. The person appointed will lead a small team that is already working to this goal, whether through embedded training and development opportunities more effectively in specific research disciplines or improving our blended and online offering.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of the higher education sector, an excellent understanding of the issues faced by doctoral students and an in-depth knowledge regarding student development, including the ability to design and deliver training courses.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.

This is a full-time post.

The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.

Grade and Salary : Grade 8, £54,853 to £57,988 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.
