As Head of Library Learning and Teaching Support, your role will be to lead on library-related aspects of learning and teaching across the university, providing high quality information and advisory services to students and staff. You will work closely and strategically with other members of the Library Services Leadership team to ensure that our users have timely access to appropriate learning resources in a range of formats and most importantly have the skills and confidence to exploit these resources.
You will be responsible for:
- developing and delivering a high-quality and responsive library learning, teaching and support services for students, academic staff and other stakeholders
- leading a team comprising Learning & Teaching Librarians with subject specialism and colleagues with expertise in holistic library second-line user support and service improvement
- engaging with course/programme teams and our central quality team to support the design, planning, validation, delivery and review of courses and programmes
You will need experience of leading a library learning and teaching support team and contributing the strategic development of the service. You will have significant experience in an academic library or information services environment including knowledge of library collections and access issues for both print and electronic materials. You will also have knowledge and understanding of current learning and teaching strategies in an HE context.
