Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence & Organised Crime Research (CENTRIC) is looking for a Researcher to play a key role contributing to the EU H2020 MINDb4Act project.

The MINDb4Act project aims to tackle the growing trend of radicalisation across Europe by better understanding the processes which underpin it. The project engages with experts, decision-makers and practitioners to create an international community of stakeholders. This expertise and know-how feeds into the project's technology-based solutions, training and capacity building activities to support counter-radicalisation.

You will participate as a member of a European-wide research team carrying out a range of research tasks including literature reviews, research design, requirements analysis, and best practice development. You will play a key role in the success of MINDb4ACT which will provide the opportunity to develop your research expertise in a wide range of areas within the security domain.

You must have a Honours degree, equivalent professional qualification or experience in computing, information sciences, security studies, criminology or a related discipline and knowledge of the security domain in areas such as terrorism, radicalisation, serious and organised crime or cybercrime. You must also have a good understanding of the role technology plays in both facilitating and tackling problems within the security domain.

We particularly welcome applicants from underrepresented groups

For non-EU applicants, we are unlikely to be able to offer a certificate of sponsorship for this job (unless you are switching from a UK student visa), so you should only apply if you already have unrestricted permission to work in the UK.

Linking Sheffield to the world - and the world to Sheffield
