This appointment forms part of an ambitious plan for further developing the research and teaching capacity in the Department of Planning and Environmental Management in the School of Environment, Education and Development. The post is intended to strengthen the research and teaching capacity of the School in urban planning. We are currently expanding our research and teaching activities and we would expect the successful application to take a lead in areas such as planning systems, planning law, planning theory and infrastructure planning.

We particularly welcome applications from individuals committed to high quality research leading to publications and with experience in research-led teaching. The appointee will be expected to teach at all levels, from undergraduates to supervising PhDs and will also be expected to undertake a range of administrative and pastoral duties.
