The University is continuing work to restructure our existing endowment funds, working towards a more flexible, sustainable structure for managing endowments which will benefit both students and research, whilst continuing to honour the wishes of the University’s very generous donors.
The Endowment Project Accountant will report to the Corporate Accountant to work towards completion of the endowments restructuring project and to allow the University to adopt a total return approach to the investment of permanent endowments.
The role holder will require an understanding of higher education finance, particularly relating to endowment funds, and of charity and trust governance and legal issues. Applicants should also hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
The post is required for a fixed period of two years, with hours to be agreed, but expected to be 0.8-1 FTE (i.e. 28-35 hours per week).
