One of Western Sydney University’s most highly respected, creative and productive institutions, the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) is focused on innovative and collaborative interdisciplinary research exploring the nuances of continuity and change within communities and societies, and how these impact upon contemporary life.
With a team of over 50 researchers, including 22 Professors, the ICS has built its reputation upon its ability to bring people from diverse areas of expertise to work collaboratively on large, multidisciplinary and collaborative projects.
For its next Director, the ICS is now seeking an outstanding research leader who will propel the Institute forward to the highest levels of research excellence. The next Director will be a person who is capable of successfully straddling the demands of academic excellence and governance best practice, while providing exceptional leadership across a broad range of research interests.
Leading others through influence, the Director will be a person with an outstanding research track record and highly developed interpersonal skills who will effortlessly promote the development of strong collaborative relationships between scholars within WSU and across industry, and through local and international partnerships and collaborations.
