The University of Bristol are looking to appoint a Student Visa Compliance Officer within the Student Visa Services, Education Division.
You will be a highly motivated individual who will support the Student Visa Compliance Manager in ensuring compliance across the institution with the University’s UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Tier 4 sponsorship licence and its obligations, as well as compliance with obligations for all the University’s students who are subject to immigration control.
The successful applicant will ensure day-to-day compliance with UKVI obligations through activities such as reporting via the UKVI’s Sponsor Management System, the creation of Confirmations of Acceptance for Study (CAS), documentation gathering from students, and any other responsibilities that stem from the Tier 4 sponsor licence. This role reports to, and at times may need to deputise for, the Student Visa Compliance Manager, who is responsible and accountable for the University’s compliance regime.
You will be able to demonstrate detailed working knowledge of UKVI legislation, policy and regulations and an in-depth understanding of compliance as it relates to students and higher education institutions, as well as significant experience of Tier 4 compliance processes in higher or further education.
