The World Academic Summit in 2021, hosted in partnership with the University of Toronto, is firmly placed to be THE’s most ambitious and influential summit of all, having established a world-renowned reputation through our World University Rankings, THE magazine and the THE  World Summit Series. We will deliver a range of thought-provoking keynote sessions and panel debates from the world’s most innovative thinkers – across industry, policy, academia and higher education management – to answer the biggest questions facing universities. We will explore key questions for higher education on issues of lifelong learning, industry partnerships, meeting the skills gap, research consortiums, and talent recruitment and management.

Details of the official summit hotels are available will be available in the coming months. Transport between summit venues will be provided for delegates staying at these, and discounted reservations are available for registered delegates.

For the majority of the summit, the dress code is business professional and business casual.
For the gala dinner, cocktail attire is recommended.

Yes, we host summits, forums and symposiums in various locations around the world. You can find details of all of our events here.

Delegates from some countries may be required to obtain a visa. If your visa application requires a formal invitation letter we can provide signed pdf invitation letters to registered delegates. Please note that if you will require the original hard copy you will responsible for covering the postage fees.

We recommend you complete your visa requirements as early as possible to avoid any potential problems.

Registration and tickets

Both delegate and corporate tickets include access to all sessions, gala dinner, receptions and networking lunches. Your ticket does not cover the cost of flights or accommodation.

Please register online here. Please note credit card or PayPal is the preferred method of payment. If you wish to pay via BACS please email​ prior to registration.

There is no need to print your ticket, you will be given a name badge when you arrive at the venue.

If you registered to attend the World Academic Summit scheduled to take place in September 2020, and can no longer attend in 2021, please contact us to discuss your options for transfers or refunding.

For all other tickets, if registration is cancelled 30 days or more prior to the first day of the event, the participant will be liable for 50% of the registration fee. If registration is cancelled less than 30 days prior to the start of the event, the participant is liable for 100% of the registration fee Please see our terms and conditions for more information.

You can find your invoice in your ticket confirmation email. You would have received this after your purchase.

We don’t offer one-day or two-day tickets. All tickets are valid for the full duration of the summit.

No, each ticket is valid to be used by one person only for the duration of the summit.

Replacement names are allowed up to seven days before the event. Please note that all registrations are subject to THE  approval. Please contact if you wish to change the name on your ticket.
