Earning but no learning

The Diary has been trawling through the Department for Education and Skills website trying to find an insight into the purpose of a university. The site lists six benefits of taking a degree. Five are about how much money you can earn afterwards and the sixth says what a good time you'll have. Nothing anywhere about learning anything.
