International Cooperation and Exchange

College of Textile and Clothing Engineering (CTCE) has maintained long-term and stable cooperation with universities and scientific institutions in Japan, Britain, France, Germany, Australia and other countries.  

The joint training and exchange projects of international talents have benefited 23 countries and regions around the world. Since 2012, CTCE has been approved for the international exchange program of outstanding undergraduate from the China Scholarship Council.  

In the same year, CTCE participated in the joint doctoral training program "Sustainable Development of Textile Design and Management (SMDTex)", which was funded by the European Commission for Science and Culture, and the European Union "Horizon 2020" plan, which helped to build a platform for training higher-level international professionals in textile field, and expand the worldwide influence of the textile discipline of CTCE. So far, the SMDTex project has enrolled 36 international doctoral students. 

 In addition, the college maintains a long-term and stable mechanism of scientific research cooperation and joint education with the world's top universities in the textile field, such as the University of Manchester and the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, Deakin University in Australia, the University of Lille (Université de Lille) and the National Institute of Textile Engineering (Ecole Nationale Supérieur des Arts et Industries Textiles) in France.  

CTCE regularly organizes various international academic exchange activities, including the International High-level Textile Talent Training Seminar, the International Young Scholars Seminar on High-performance Fiber, the China-Japan Textile Composite Materials Conference, the China-Japan-Korea Young Scholars Conference, etc. So far, the college has hosted nine consecutive China International Silk conferences.
