How universities can embrace digital transformation

26-27 November 2019, Kazan, Russia

What is the THE  Digital Transformation Forum?

Should universities adapt to, or lead, the impetus of change created by the forces of a digital world? The purpose of this forum is to examine how universities can strategically analyse and invest in opportunities to transform their teaching and research with digital technologies.

We will question the position of old and new universities in our rapidly advancing society which is in the middle of the fourth industrial revolution. How can the higher education sector adapt to and keep pace with changes – or, indeed, offer new directions?

In our forum we will welcome expert comment and case studies on strategic visions for whole institutions and also for individual research disciplines. Can institutional diversity be protected against trends of convergence?

We will also compare investing in campus redevelopments with investment in digital infrastructure. How responsible are universities in preparing students for the demands of the modern economy?
