QUEENS' COLLEGE, CAMBRIDGE. John Eatwell, Labour's economic spokesman in the House of Lords, fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, head of college.

UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD. Vice chancellor elect: Colin Lucas, historian and master of Balliol College.

Acting master of Balliol College: Andrew Graham, economist. President, Templeton College: Michael van Clemm.

UNIVERSITY OF ABERDEEN. C. Duncan Rice, historian and vice chancellor of New York University, has been appointed principal, succeeding J. Maxwell Irvine.

ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATORS. Keith Jones, academic secretary at the University of Liverpool, has been appointed chair of AUA, succeeding Sally Neocosmos, university secretary at Sheffield Hallam University.

BOND UNIVERSITY, QUEENSLAND. Raoul Mortley, vice chancellor at Newcastle University, is appointed vice chancellor from August 1; Alan Finch, registrar at the University of Southern Queensland, has been appointed registrar.

CITY UNIVERSITY, LONDON. Eamon Martin, formerly at Goldsmiths College, has been appointed head of registry services.

UNIVERSITY OF BRADFORD. Pro-chancellors: Tommy Ashdown, MD of the Leeds Group of Joseph Dawsons Holdings, has also been appointed chairperson-elect of council; Alan Jerome, chairman and chief executive of S. Jerome and Sons (Holdings) plc.

EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY. Angus Currie, former director of estates and buildings at the University of St. Andrews and fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, has been appointed director of estates and buildings.
