US Student Survey Distribution 2020

Thank you for your interest in distributing the 2020 US student survey.

Achieving a suitable sample for the Student Survey is an entry requirement for the ranking. Therefore, we urge you to help us by distributing the US Student Survey to your students. This greatly increases the number of survey responses, helping to ensure your college’s eligibility for inclusion. We recommend distributing to 1000+ students, as we typically see response rates around 5-7%.

We are extending the survey collection period this year, from 1 November 2018 through to 31 May 2019. This should allow your institution to plan distribution to your students around other surveys and events in their academic calendars.

How to take part

Significant changes to Facebook targeting has meant that StreetBees cannot guarantee survey samples for every institution. As such, self-distribution of the survey by colleges is key to whether they can be included in the rankings.

Survey responses will only be collected for undergraduates and masters students who are over 18 years old. Institutions may choose to distribute the survey to all students (or a sub-section specified on the consent form), but inelligible responses will not be considered valid. As long as the sample is random and we achieve a minimum of 50 responses, we have no sample size requirements, though we do recommend colleges distribute to a sample of at least 1000 students, as we typically see response rates of around 5-7%.
