**Why study English with Heritage?** • English at UWTSD combines a commitment to the large historical picture of English studies (from Beowulf to Tom Wolfe) with a responsiveness to new directions and concerns of the subject precipitated by developments in critical and cultural theory. • Choose from a range of focused areas from Anglo Saxon Heroic literature to Victorian narrative poetry; the bloody revenge dramas of the Renaissance to contemporary bestsellers; from the realist novels of the 19th century to contemporary poetry and postmodern novels. • Heritage Studies explores different aspects of Heritage and the Heritage-related agencies, institutions and subjects across a range of disciplines including history, archaeology and philosophy. • You will attend small-group classes with a focus on discussion and learning activities to encourage the self-development and critical reflection accepted as key to the development of personal and professional capacities. • We take an immersive approach to learning offering a diverse range of teaching approaches, including lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshop sessions.
