The four-year MSci Chemistry and Biochemistry degree is ideal for students who have a passion for both chemistry and biochemistry and are looking to have the edge when it comes to pursuing a career in academia or industry in areas such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences, forensic science, diagnostics and medicinal chemistry. Our expert staff will help you to develop in-depth knowledge of core topics such as physical chemistry, genetics and physiology while gaining extensive laboratory experience. Your final-year will see you working as part of a research group on a major project. In the first two years, you will take core subjects in chemistry and biochemistry with laboratory experience in both. In years three and four, you will undertake research and choose from a range of specialist modules, integrating both subject areas at an advanced level.
