Building Surveying (Accelerated Day-Release) - University of Salford

**Building Surveyors look at building pathology, focusing on refurbishment, reuse, development, restoration, repair, and conservation. As our growing cities adapt to the changing needs of the 21st century, our RICS-accredited BSc (Hons) Building Surveying Accelerated Day Release degree could open up a rewarding future.** Salford is a leading UK centre for surveying and we’re consistently ranked in the World Top 100 universities (QS 2018) for Architecture and Built Environment study. Providing a gateway to professional status, our Building Surveying course will advance your knowledge through a series economic, legal, technical design and management modules. Accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and developed in consultation with industry, you’ll be educated to the highest professional standards. Through this course, led by international experts, you’ll gain a comprehensive knowledge base. You’ll learn about the construction industry and its legal and regulatory framework. You’ll explore the relationship between a building and its internal and external environments. You’ll recognise how to diagnose problems with existing buildings and be aware of conservation and regeneration. Covering the same content as a standard undergraduate degree, the accelerated degree is taught over three trimesters rather than two semesters. This more intense mode of study means that you can complete your degree in a shorter period of time, so you to progress more quickly into work or further study. If you choose to study Building Surveying as a day-release accelerated degree, you will complete it in three years rather than five. The five year part-time option is also available.
