In MA Classical Studies, you will combine the study of the history, archaeology and literature of the classical world. It is possible but not obligatory to take Ancient Greek or Latin as part of the programme.
The evidence for the Graeco-Roman world is richly varied. You will be able to explore that intrinsically interesting world from several different disciplinary angles and to build up a comprehensive view of the Greek and Roman civilisations.
The study of the classical world in a multi-disciplinary manner thus affords the opportunity to acquire a rounded view of the origins of European civilisation through the combination of philological, historical and archaeological inquiry
