It covers political theory; political history; comparative political analysis; area studies; international relations. Students will develop important skills of value to employers: the ability to analyse concepts, write well, assess published work, communicate (including making oral presentations), determine the validity of opposing points of view, and undertake independent research. You will be taught by experts in small groups. Your lecturers will also be your tutors; we don’t employ graduate teaching assistants. And you will benefit from the diverse cultural experiences of the other students, who are drawn from over 80 countries. Note: applicants with no previous knowledge of Spanish must begin in September for a fast-track induction programme. To commence studies in January, applicants must have at least grade ‘C’ GCSE in Spanish.
