You will benefit from a practical, hands-on major in Journalism, aimed at developing first-class production skills in online, print and broadcast media with a minor in Spanish. Drawing on the many natural synergies between journalism, language and media production across different platforms, the programme will familiarise you with a broad range of essential and advanced journalistic principles, writing / production techniques, and with life in the workplace. Spanish is available to study at all levels – from beginners (September entry only) to advanced. You don’t need to worry about choosing which “stage” you are at when you opt to study a language – we will assess your level of language and place you into a group which is suitable for your abilities. As you learn more and more, you’ll move up through the stages. Any student wishing to study a foreign language minor with no previous knowledge of their chosen language must commence their studies in September in order for their degree to qualify for honours
