This studio-based course aims to produce creative and innovative illustrators who are prepared to take risks with their work. The course offers you the intellectual and creative space to examine existing traditions of illustration, whilst exploring future directions. You will develop a range of visual languages including animation, computing, photography and printmaking. This course is taught at London College of Communication, at Elephant & Castle, part of University of the Arts London. **What can you expect?** • BA (Hons) Illustration and Visual Media seeks to challenge existing preconceptions and definitions of illustration, and will encourage you to view yourself as a thinker as well as an image maker. • Taught by a team of practicing artists, designers, researchers and academics, all the tutors on the course are actively involved in scholarly investigation, graphic design and art related professional practice. • The course explores contemporary creative practice and critical debate. You will benefit from intellectual and creative space to examine existing definitions of illustration whilst exploring future directions.
