Our Automotive Engineering degree offers students the chance to work with suppliers, manufacturers, and specialists in the automotive and motorsport sectors. Our Automotive Engineering degree has always been popular with students. Now, we give you the opportunity to either study to BEng (Hons), or complete our new integrated MEng course. Both courses focus on mechanical engineering aspects of the automotive field. If you want to work with suppliers, manufacturers and specialist enterprises in the automotive and motorsport sectors - with companies such as Bentley, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover and JCB - either course could meet your goals. Our facilities include computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element analysis (FEA) and Ricardo WAVE engine simulation and analysis software. We also have strong work placement links, so you’ll gain valuable experience as part of your study. On successful completion of study, we will issue: BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering Work placements You will attend a work placement between the second and final years of the course, our placement staff will work with you to identify a suitable location for your work placement. Please also note that you are responsible for any costs incurred in travelling to and from your work placement, and for any accommodation costs.
