Nursing (Adult)

Make a difference to someone’s life when it matters most. Our degree will prepare you to care for adults of all ages with acute and long-term illness, at home and in hospital. You’ll play a vital role in health promotion and disease prevention, as well as nursing sick and injured adults back to health. Working closely with other professionals, patients and their families, you’ll gain the experience and skills needed to join the 100 per cent of our graduates working as professional nurses*. You will distinguish yourself with a degree from one of the first institutions to offer the new Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for nursing education and you’ll practice your clinical and communication skills in the safe, supervised setting of our Clinical Skills Resource Centre (CSRC). You will have the option to study at Plymouth, our Knowledge Spa Campus, Truro or at our new School of Nursing in Exeter. * Distinguish yourself with a degree from one of the first institutions to offer the new Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for nursing education. Plymouth has been teaching the most up-to-date curriculum since 2011 and embrace innovative ideas to shape the nursing workforce of tomorrow. * Practice your clinical and communication skills in the safe, supervised setting of our Clinical Skills Resource Centre (CSRC) which features specially designed replicas of hospital wards and emergency rooms, with patient-simulators. * Enjoy a flexible approach to your theoretical studies, with the option of studying in Plymouth, our Knowledge Spa campus, Truro or at our new University of Plymouth School of Nursing in Exeter. * Participate in the best and most varied hands-on experience within a Host Locality.
