To respond to the growing demand for digital graduates with a blend of technical and transferable skills, we've designed our Computer Science degree in partnership with leading tech employers. You'll work on real-world projects set by employers with the opportunity to specialise in some of the most exciting areas of technology such as artificial intelligence, cyber security and software engineering. Don't know your Python from your Java? No problem. We'll teach you everything you need to know to design, develop, test and launch new products, as well as the soft skills tech employers need for you to be part of a flexible and dynamic team. Tech employers are involved in every aspect of the degree, from inputting into the modules you'll study, to setting some of the projects you'll work on. You'll meet them through coordinated tech events when they'll deliver guest lectures, and you'll work with them during the professional work placements included in your degree. By the time you graduate, you'll have been able to develop the skills that employers want, as well as the connections and experience to stand out in the digital jobs market. **Placement opportunities** ​Employers are strongly engaged at each stage of the degree, helping you to develop the technical skills and knowledge of workplace practices that you need to be successful in the competitive tech and digital sectors. You'll complete extended professional work placements and live employer projects during each year of your degree, gaining the extensive industry experience you'll need to get your first graduate job. The Leeds city region is home to a wealth of tech companies, so we'll work closely with employers to secure placement opportunities which will help you further develop your skills and confidence in the workplace. **Graduate opportunities** ​You'll graduate ready to tap into the vast range of opportunities in the thriving digital and tech sectors. You could work as a software developer, designer, network engineer, cyber security analyst or project manager.
