You’ll build a portfolio of work that demonstrates skills relevant to performance, scholarship, journalism, advertising and online content. – You’ll be involved in the creation of a full-scale theatre production, using group working and performance skills. – You’ll learn from industry specialists in fields such as theatre and film journalism, playwriting, festival management and archiving. **About this course** This course examines theatre, performance and film in their historical and cultural contexts, rather than in isolation. You’ll study mainstream, popular and avantgarde forms, and how identities are reflected and inflected through theatre, performance and film. Developing a range of skills, you’ll articulate your ideas through performance, written, oral and visual forms. You’ll study the relationships between film and theatre and their audiences. From both practical and theoretical perspectives, you’ll explore dramatic narrative and the perspective of the actor. In your final year, you’ll complete a major self-designed research project, reflecting your specific interests in drama or film.
