University of Leicester - Local talent brought to book

Some of the country's best-known writers will take part in Leicester's first literature festival to be held from 29 October to 1 November at the University of Leicester. The Literary Leicester Festival will be held in celebration of the completion of the university's newly extended David Wilson Library. Writers with a Leicester connection who will take part in the festival include Colin Dexter, creator of the detective Inspector Morse, and Sue Townsend, creator of irrepressible diarist Adrian Mole. David Lodge, author of the campus novels Changing Places and Small World, will read from his new book, Deaf Sentence.
