Universities of Leeds, Sheffield, York - Consortium plans PhD academy

The White Rose University Consortium has won £10 million to establish a Yorkshire PhD Academy. The Graduate Academy for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (Gradterm) will run PhDs that combine life sciences with engineering and physical sciences. It will be launched this year by the consortium, which is made up of the universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. Funding comes from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the Higher Education Funding Council for England. The academy will be run out of the University of Leeds and will receive 50 PhD students over its funded period.
