Brussels, 04 Jan 2006

The second TARGET Winter School on microwave transistors materials and devices will take place in Jena, Germany, from 21 to 24 February.

Organised by the EU funded TARGET project, this intensive, four-day course will provide a thorough understanding of the essential background of radio frequency (RF) transistor function and production methods.

Starting with the physics of the materials and transistors the lectures will move to more advanced development and production methods of active microwave devices. Participants will gain detailed knowledge on materials and devices in the field of microwave transistors, including power amplifiers and mixed signal devices.

Intended for PhD students and engineers new to this field, the course will focus both on theoretical and practical issues of established techniques, as well as the most up-to-date methods.
