Newcastle University was a double winner at the awards, hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, scooping the top prize, for outstanding leadership and management team, for the second time in three years, as well as claiming the outstanding procurement team category.
The Glasgow School of Art picked up the award for outstanding marketing/communications team for its response to the fire that swept through the institution’s Mackintosh Building in May 2014.
Other universities to win on the night included Birmingham, Derby, Edinburgh Napier, Harper Adams, Huddersfield, Loughborough, Northumbria, Nottingham Trent, Sheffield, Warwick, York and the Open University.
