The European Commission's Information Society and Media DG has published a call for tenders entitled 'IST 2005 - study on commercial exploitation of grid technologies'.
The study's principal goal is to analyse legal framework options and potential market conditions suitable for industrial exploitation of open source and proprietary grid middleware and to assess them in the context of real grid application software and middleware use cases. Software licensing models will need to be evaluated with respect to feasible grid business models and economies (i.e. for infrastructure, middleware, applications and services).
